A Little Bit About Me

Early days

I have been an athlete all of my life and have always been fascinated with the way the human body works. It all started when I was 3 years old, I remember looking at my hand and thinking "I can move this thing. How am I doing this?" It led me to an intense interest in physical activity. It started with jumping off the porch and running around the neighborhood to participating in any athletic activitiy that I could find.


I wasn't just playing, I was figuring things out, practicing countless hours, drilling skills over and over, trying to figure out ways to run faster and jump higher.  I was going to the gym and using weights, performing olympic lifts to increase my strength and power.  My eyes were opened to a whole new world. It was those very years that would set the tone and foundation for the rest of my life.  

Training days

I have a degree in Exercise Physiology from Southern Connecticut State University, where I also competed Division 2 Collegiate track and field as a decathlete. The Decathlon is a very technical and physically demanding event, it gave me experience with evaluating biomechanical movements, developing speed and power, and experience in athletic training to prevent and treat injuries. Track and Field also gained me the opportunity to work with the Canadian strength and power team which gave me access to a very high level of training.
I have trained and conditioned with the SCSU men's gymnastics team to better understand the physics of the pole vault and develop greater body awareness and coordination.


Today, I have 24 years of experience in the fitness industry and I am still amazed at the incredible potential of the human body. Besides being a former decathlon athlete I have also studied Kenpo, Muay Thai kickboxing, boxing, and Brazilian jiu jitsu.

I have appeared in Men's fitness magazine and trained myself and others with nutrition and weights to achieve a specific desired look.
